Children of Maria Vigne
Maria gave birth to ten children. Her first child was a son by Jacob Van Roos:

Maria was born about 1613, probably in France but possibly in Holland. Maria married Jan ROOS about 1631. Jan died about 1632. They had one son, Gerrit Jansen ROOS.
In 1634 Maria married Abraham VER PLANCK. Abraham may have just arrived that year [he was possibly a cousin of J.A. PLANCK, who witnessed the antenuptial agreement above]. Maria and Abraham lived at the Vigne household until Damen took over. They bought land across the Hudson at Paulus Hook [now Jersey City]. They had a farm and two cows, and leased four acres to two tobacco planters.
The 1643 Indian war forced Maria and Abraham to seek the safety of the fort at Manhattan. The family continued to own the land at Paulus Hook until 1699, but never went back there to live. They bought a lot from brother-in-law Van Tienhoven at Smits Vly in 1649, near Pearl Street and Maiden Lane, and built a house there.
The Ver Plancks no longer farmed, but leased their land holdings and entered into the fur trade. This business took Abraham up the Hudson and down to the Delaware River. In 1664, when the English fleet showed up on the Hudson River, Abraham was one of the signers of the petition requesting that Peter Stuyvesant surrender. A fight with the English would have destroyed New Amsterdam. The people were more interested in keeping their homes than keeping Stuyvesant as their leader--he fell onto financial hard times in the 1680's, although he still owned lots in New York City which his heirs sold in a 1699 indenture.
Maria died in 1689, and Abraham in 1691.

Maria's Eldest, Gerrit Janszen Roos
Gerrit Janszen Roos married Aeltje Lamberts WOLF (bpt 1627 in Utrecht, dau. of Lambert Hermansz WOLF and Emmetie VAN DE SLUIJS) on 31 Dec 1651 and had 3 children.
Aeltje died in 1659, per New Amsterdam Orphan Court records: "Garrit Janzen Roos announces death of his wife, who left him with three children, Pieter, 6 years old, Cornelia, 4 years old, Johannes, 2 years old. He accepts as guardian, Abraham Verplanck and Jan Vigne. Wednesday, June 8, 1659."
On 5 Sep 1659 Gerrit married Tryntje ARENTS of Amsterdam and had Aefje or Aeltie Roos. They were listed as members of the New York DRC in 1686. Gerrit was one of several family members appointed to inventory Jan VIGNE's estate in 1689.
Gerrit's will was dated 3 Sep 1697; he died by 15 Sep 1698. He made his will in 1697:
In the name of God, Amen, this 3rd day of September, 1697. I, Gerritt Jansen Roos of the city of New York, carpenter, being in sound mind and perfect health, I leave to my eldest son Peter Roos, living at Utrecht in Holland, £100.
I leave to Peter Gerritse Roos, the eldest son of my son Peter Roos, on silver tumbler and the same to Gerritt Johannes Roos, the eldest son of Johannes Roos. Also a silver tumbler to Gerritt Provost, the eldest son of my eldest daughter Cornelia, wife of Elias Provost.
I leave to Gerritt Johannes Roos and Aeltje Roos, children of my deceased son Johannes Roos, their maintenance out of my estate until they are able to maintain themselves and they are to be put to school until such time as they shall have learned to read and write, and they are to have £78 which I have of their father's estate.
The rest of the estate to be divided into five parts and given to son Peter, the children of son Johannes, deceased, to daughter Cornelia, wife of Jacob De Moree, to daughter Affie, wife of Johannes Van Gelder, and to Annatie Elswort, daughter of my daughter Aeltie procured by John Elswort.
And whereas I have sold a house and lot in Albany, which belonged to my son Johannes, and also a tract of land in said county for £78, the children of my son Johannes are to have the same.
Executors: Jacob De Moree, Johannes Van Gelder and Jacob Boden.
