Genealogy, Gerrit Janszen ROOS
Gerrit Jansen Roos was the son of Maria Vigne (sister of Christine, Dirck the Norseman's wife) and Jan Roos. Gerrit was born ca. 1632.
Gerrit married Aeltje Lamberts Wolf, who is believed to have been baptized in 1627 in Utrecht, Aelje was the daughter of Lambert Hermansz Wolf and Emmetie Van De Sluijs, born on 31 Dec 1651.
Gerrit and Aeltje had 3 children. Aeltje died in 1659, per New Amsterdam Orphan Court records: "Garrit Janzen Roos announces death of his wife, who left him with three children, Pieter, 6 years old, Cornelia, 4 years old, Johannes, 2 years old. He accepts as guardian, Abraham Verplanck (Gerrit's stepfather, his mother Maria's husband) and Jan Vigne (Gerrit's uncle, Maria's brother). Wednesday, June 8, 1659."
On 5 Sep 1659 Gerrit married second wife, Tryntje Arents of Amsterdam, and had four additional children. They were listed as members of the New York DRC in 1686. He was one of several family members appointed to inventory Jan Vigne's estate in 1689.
The will of Gerrit Jansen Roos was dated 3 Sep 1697; he died by 15 Sep 1698. He made his will in 1697:

Gerrit Janszen Roos fathered seven children. His children by first wife Aeltje Lamberts Wolfe:

After his wife Aeltje died, Gerrit married Tryntje Arents, who bore him four more children:
